Ballad plans the cadence with you and writes what that cadence needs. For a startup that is typically a few social posts a week and a couple of articles. If your usage looks like a content farm rather than a company, we will talk to you before we do anything else. Founders has a plain cap instead: up to two posts a day and six articles a month — more than most solo founders ship — with the whole product running underneath.

No. If you have one, Ballad publishes long-form straight to it through a small content API — a Next.js guide gets you there in an afternoon, and Ballad revalidates your pages on publish. If you don't, or your CMS is its own thing, a collection can publish by hand instead: the article comes to you as rich text, Markdown or HTML with its opening image, you paste it wherever it lives, and you give Ballad the URL so signals attach to it. Either way Ballad never hosts your articles, every plan ships the SEO basics and an opening image, social posts need no site at all, and every plan includes a ballad.to hub.

A voice is a persona Ballad learns and writes as. Every plan gets two: you, the founder, and a brand voice for the company, each with its own channels and trust level. Business adds voices for teammates, with approval routing to the right person.

Yes, and most of the product is already on Founders. Upgrading is about autonomy: auto-approve on the voices and channels you trust, and plan changes applied on their own instead of waiting for you. It also lifts the volume cap and adds RSS, instant revalidation and no Ballad branding. Your voices, plan, signals and history come with you; nothing has to be rebuilt.

No. Your writing, edits, and approvals teach your own voice and improve your own plan. They are not used to train models for other customers. See the Privacy Policy.

Yes. Startup is $2,490 a year, which is two months free against monthly. Business is annual with custom volume. Nothing is billed during the beta either way.

Your account winds down at the end of the period, and content already published through your own accounts and on your domain stays exactly where it is. You can export your articles from the content API before you go.
