Settings

Settings is eight pages, each one the answer to a different question. Most of it you'll set once during the walkthroughs and not think about again.

Account and workspace

Account is you: your name, the address you sign in with, and how you leave.

Workspace is the company Ballad works for. It holds what Ballad does here — the same four choices as onboarding, so turning one on later adds its setup walkthrough to your Inbox — plus your teammates. Invite someone with a link; everyone can do everything, and each person gets their own voice.

Voices and brand

Voices is who speaks. There's you and there's the company, each with its own channels, its own formats, its own cadence, and its own connected accounts — your X and LinkedIn for the founder voice, the company's for the brand.

Each voice also carries the notes that make its drafts sound right: the terms it uses and never uses, the distinctions that matter in your field, and a few things you've actually written. A term you correct in review joins the list on its own.

Brand is one look for the whole workspace: logo, colours and font. Every image post, carousel and article cover renders in it, whichever voice is speaking.

Collections and changelogs

Collections are your long-form lanes — a blog, a founder journal, a changelog. Each has a subject, a cadence, a destination, how often a depth piece is due, and how articles open.

Changelogs is the product side of that: what you sell, the secret your repository posts releases and commits with, and how often commits get digested into a note. See Release notes and changelog.

Site, sending and notifications

Site is the wiring between Ballad and your website:

• Your site's URL, and the pages Ballad has read from it.
• The attribution beacon snippet and its token.
• Your content API key, for rendering articles on your own domain.
• Search Console, for rankings.
• Landing pages, if Ballad publishes them for you.

Notifications is Slack and your quiet hours. Connect Slack and drafts, threads worth joining and the numbers check come to a channel with the same buttons the Inbox has; quiet hours mean nothing arrives while you're asleep, in your own timezone.

Newsletter sending — your Resend key, from name and address — sits with the voice that sends it, under Voices.
