Posts, threads and image posts for LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads and Instagram — drafted for you to approve, posted for you where the network allows it.

Turn this on and Ballad keeps your founder voice and your company voice posting — drafted ahead, reviewed by you, and posted for you where the network allows it.

The setup is a four-step walkthrough in your Inbox — Set up social media — and it ends with your first posts drafted.

1. Pick your channels

Bluesky and Threads are available too, under Settings → Voices. Start with one channel you actually want to show up on; adding a second later takes a click and no new setup.

2. Connect your accounts

Connecting is what lets Ballad post for you instead of handing you something to paste:

  • LinkedIn — connect your profile and approved posts publish themselves. The connection lasts 60 days, and Ballad puts a reconnect card in your Inbox before it lapses.
  • X — connect the account for that voice. Posts, threads and image posts go out on their slot.
  • Instagram — no posting API for this, so Ballad renders the image and caption and you post it from the app.

Skip any of them and nothing breaks: the draft is still written and still reviewed, and Ballad hands it to you ready to post, then asks you two days later how it did so the numbers still reach the plan. On X it reads impressions, replies and reposts itself every six hours.

Each voice connects its own accounts. Your founder voice posts from your profile; the brand voice posts from the company account.

3. Set a pace

Say how often each voice posts and Ballad plans weeks ahead against it, choosing what each piece should be. The plan also keeps a rhythm most people get wrong on their own: mostly pieces that give — teach something, take a position, tell the story — and occasionally one that asks. Roughly three to one for a founder, two to one for a brand, tuned by what actually converts.

4. Review, post, reply

Drafts arrive in your Inbox. You see the editor on the left and the post in the network's own frame on the right, with its character count, so a LinkedIn post looks like LinkedIn and a thread reads post by post before it exists.

Three things you should know about what comes back afterwards:

  • Replies come to you with an answer drafted. Ballad reads replies to your posts on X, and you can paste in comments from anywhere else. Questions and pushback get a drafted reply; a fire emoji doesn't. On X you send it from the Inbox.
  • Threads worth joining arrive hourly. Ballad watches the communities where your buyers talk and brings back the few where your positioning is genuinely the answer, reply drafted, while the thread is still open. You post it, as a person — Ballad never posts into a community for you.
  • Image posts rotate their idea. A metaphor, a diagram, a before-and-after, a whiteboard sketch — so a feed of them doesn't look like one template. Every word on a card is checked against the words you approved. See Image posts & carousels.

Launching to a community

Show HN, a Reddit self post and a Product Hunt listing are written on demand, never on a schedule, and each is written for that community's rules rather than your marketing voice. Ask for one when you have something to launch — from the Create dialog, or as part of a launch week proposed from a release.

What it never does

  • It doesn't post anything you haven't approved.
  • It doesn't reply on your behalf in a community; it drafts, you decide.
  • It doesn't invent product details to fill a post.
